BRAMAN, Sterling Albert. Sterling died peacefully on November 22, 2022, at the St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre in Cornwall, ON at 96 years of age. He is survived by his sons, John (Betty) of Cornwall & Fred (Eleanor) of Montreal, and his daughter, Shirley (Chris Gosselin) of Kitchener, his grandchildren – Louise, Zachary & Chris; great-granddaughters April (Tyler Markus) & Alicia; and great-great-grandson Ozzy Markus. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins,
He was predeceased by his wife Louise (2009), infant son Gary (1954) and son Douglas (1983), plus all his siblings & their respective spouses – Carl (Henrietta), Lillian (Kenneth Buttimer), Henry (Mary & Marjorie), Charlotte (Victor Hawthorne), and Mary (Doug Belding).
He was born in 1926 at the family home near Norton, New Brunswick, the son of George Frederick Braman & Hazel Mabel Crabbe.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-3 PM at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall. The Funeral will be on Monday at 11 AM in First Baptist Church, 310 York Street, Cornwall. Rev Jim Drennan will officiate. A luncheon will follow immediately in the Church Hall. Private interment will be at St. Andrew’s (“The Round”) United Church Cemetery, Dalhousie Mills (ON) at 2:30 PM.
