ZEHR, Stephen Samuel “Steve” Zehr, 63, of Embro passed away at VON Sakura House Hospice, Woodstock, with family by his side, on Thursday, August 18, 2022. He was born at Stratford on April 17, 1959 a son of Glenn and Mary Ellen (Lebold) Zehr.
Steve farmed until 1999, then operated Zehr Flooring until 2013, then sold livestock supplements internationally as sales manager for Nature’s Wave Inc. until his passing. He volunteered with “Relay for Life” in Woodstock, was a past president of Woodstock/Oxford Rotary Club and was involved in the Woodstock Transitional Homes Project in Woodstock.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen Lynn (Ramseyer) Zehr; two sons, Matt and wife Janelle Zehr, Blaine and wife Tracy Zehr; five grandchildren, Georgia, Audrey, Charlotte “Charlie”, Peyton and Brayden; his parents, Glenn and Mary Ellen Zehr; four sisters, Janice Zehr (Steve Dewar), Judy Farlow (John), Marilyn Zehr (Svinda Heinrichs), Colleen Zehr (Ken Laemers); one brother, Peter Zehr (Rosa Contreras).
Relatives and friends will be received at Movement Church 65 Lansdowne Ave Woodstock on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 12 – 1.30 p.m. where a “Celebration of Life” service will be held at 2 p.m. Pastor Jeff Price will officiate. A fellowship at the Oxford County Naval Veteran’s Hall, 959 James St., Woodstock will follow the service.
