It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Stephen Michael Malach, Q.C., at the age of 78, on Thursday, May 19, 2022.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Rhonda. He was the beloved father and father-in-law of Faith Malach and Melanie and Jarrod Saltzman.
He was the doting and adoring Zaidy of Taylor, Jordan and Zama and a best friend to his favourite dog Dylan.
Stephen is pre-deceased by his father Ralph Malach, mother-in-law and father-in-law Belle and Harvey Rudnick and his sister-in-law Nora Rudnick. He is survived by his mother Jean Malach and his brothers, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Sandy and Donna Malach, David Malach and Risa Klarman and Marty Rudnick. He was loved and adored by his many family and friends.
Stephen was exceptional to everyone that knew him. He was a highly respected member of the legal profession and he was a mentor and inspiration to all of his friends and colleagues.
He created and built the firm of Malach and Fidler LLP in 1984 from the ground up. The firm was his passion and his family until he chose to retire in 2021. Stephen was a man of honour. He was hardworking, kind, generous and lived a life with strong integrity. His exemplary life, values and lessons will guide and inspire further generations of our family.
