Stephen Kaczkowski passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at the age of 58 years, in Calgary, Alberta.
Steve was born in Montreal and moved to Calgary at the age of 12. He attended The University of Calgary between 1994-2012. He completed a B.A. with First-Class Honours in Psychology; B.A. Sociology; B.A. Religious Studies; and a J.D. (Juris Doctor). Steve passed The Bar on July 11, 2005, at which time he started practicing Law. He also was a member of the Mensa Society of Canada since 2000.
Throughout his career, Steve was a mentor to other young lawyers. He helped hundreds, if not thousands, of clients in the area of family, real estate, and civil litigation.
Steve was a compassionate, calm, relaxed, kindhearted man who had a natural empathy for those he had contact with. He went above and beyond to ensure his family was happy. He preferred to always have Michelle by his side wherever he went. Steve was very proud the day he became a dad. Every day after work, he spent time playing games and enjoying other activities with his daughter, Samantha. She changed his whole world, and he could not be happier.
Steve leaves behind his beloved wife, Michelle; two daughters, Samantha (aged 6) and Stephanie; two stepsons, David Lucas and Kyle Lucas; two grandsons, Troy Lucas and Matthew Lucas; sister, Sharon Kaczkowski (Dave Bewick); brother, Rick (Debbie) Kaczkowski; nephews, David Llewelyn and Lee Kaczkowski (Taylor); nieces, Andrea Llewelyn, Keisha Llewelyn (Kwasi) and Nicole Kaczkowski; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Jean Kaczkowski.
Steve will truly be missed and will always be in our hearts.
A Celebration of Steve’s Life will be held at New City Church, Encompass Partnerships location (3851 54 Avenue N.E., Calgary, Alberta) on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
