Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Stephen John Wisted announces his passing which occurred on August 15, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on August 14, 1966, in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Ronald and Ann (Glaspy) Wisted.
Stephen loved camping, fishing and was always one to be ready for a party. He enjoyed driving his side by side and snowmobiling in the winter. Stephen was proud to be Co-owner/operator of Wisted’s Garage with his brother Ronald. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Carrie (Sowerby) Wisted; his two sons Michael, Andrew; brother Ronald (Jennifer); sister Christine Widmer; mother-in-law Brenda Sowerby; father-in-law David Sowerby; brother-in-law Dave “DJ” (Mindy) Sowerby; niece Mackenzie (Joe) and nephew Chad (Emma).
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew Shaun Wisted and brother-in-law Mike Widmer.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday August 18th, 2022, and Friday August 19th, 2022, between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Saturday, August 20th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
Donations in Stephen’s memory made be made towards the H.O.P.E Centre or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
