DeCARO, Stephen Francis “Papa”
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Stephen passed away peacefully on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital at the age of 77. Born to parents Frank & Vincenzina (nee Marano) on April 12, 1945 in Licata, Italy. Steve is survived by his beloved wife Bonnie (nee Bower) of 57 years. Cherished father of Anzie (Dolf), Frank (Kate), Deb (Glenn) and Stephen (Kelly). Proud grandfather of Jacqueline (Robin), Wesley, Taylor, Paige, Nathan, Owen, Mikel, Patrick, Austin and Charles. Great-grandfather of Jackson, Olive and Thatcher. Dear brother of Tony (Kathy) and Chuck (Laura). Uncle to Frank, Matthew and Michael and great-uncle of Anthony.
Steve was a soft spoken, welcoming gentleman and will be dearly missed. He loved entertaining, golf, woodworking, his beloved gardening, “Sous Chef” to his wife Bonnie, traveling and much more.
A graveside service will be held at Stephenson Cemetery in Port Sydney at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 16, 2022 followed by a celebration of life garden party at 304 Muskoka Road 10, Port Sydney – “next door”.
