Stephen Duncan Dubetz 2021

Obituary for
Stephen Duncan Dubetz
February 26, 1955 – December 27, 2021
It is with great love and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear brother, Stephen Dubetz of Edmonton, Alberta on December 27, 2021.
Stephen was a generous man, a loving brother, and a steadfast friend. He was an exceptional “balloon artist”, a mentor to many, and an integral part of the “busking” community.
He will be lovingly remembered by his brother David (Betty) of Edmonton; sisters, Ava Cherniwchan of Smoky Lake and Mary Lacey of Edmonton; his niece, Brenda (Darren) Marlowe and baby Cian; and nephews, Kevin and Brian Dubetz, Kellan Cherniwchan, and Blaine, David, Patrick and Ryan Lacey.
Stephen was predeceased by his parents, George and Olga Dubetz; brothers, Thomas and Raymond; and sister Dianne.
The family has chosen to grieve in private and no service will be held.
Donations may be made to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation at www.albertadiabetesfoundation.com/ in Stephen’s honour, in lieu of sending flowers.

Your artistic talent for balloon creations touched thousands of lives and put smiles on a countless number of children over the years. You will be missed but not forgotten. Rest in Peace Steve.
