Stephen’s Obituary
Gehue, Stephen Donald
Gehue, Stephen Donald (Scookie) passed away on April 8, 2022 at the age of 63 years old with his family by his side. Stephen was the most caring, selfless, and kind soul that you would ever know. He would constantly put others before his-self. He had a love for fishing and he spent most of his life on the water. He actually spent more time on the water than on land. He loved walks on the beach with his dog Babe, and spending time with his animals.
Stephen is survived by his loving mother; Georgine Gehue. He will be greatly missed by his children; Troy Gehue, Jody Earl, Corey Atkins, and Jenay Doucette (Gehue). He will be remembered by his siblings; Joseph (Peewee) Gehue, Gerald Gehue, Danny Gehue, and Wendy Gehue, along with many nieces and nephews. Stephen was predeceased by his brother Robert.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday April 13th at 1 p.m. from Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth with Father Henry Smolenaars officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. There will be a reception following the service at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes, Yarmouth, where you can sign the online guestbook by visiting www.huskilson.net
