STELMAKER, Alice Irene
March 1, 1941 — June 17, 2022
Surrounded by her cherished daughter and grandsons, our mother and grandmother, Alice Stelmaker, had a final farewell on June 17, 2022, at the age of 81. Alice will be remembered for her outspoken, gregarious personality. She was a caring soul who wasn’t afraid to show it. A wonderful knitter, a lover of Crib and Bingo, Alice had a fantastic sense of humour. Having been born in a simple shack in Peace River, AB, she had a unique start to life. Alongside her parents and brothers, she grew up on a farm in Coronation, AB. In the 1960s, Alice may have moved away to BC, but she always kept her family close to her heart; nothing was more important to Alice than family.
She leaves behind a family legacy consisting of her daughter Faith (Mike) Greenwood; her grandsons Aaron, Kevin, and Russell Phillips; and her great-grandsons Lucas and Ryland Phillips. She will be remembered by her brothers Bob (Dorothy) Hudson, Walter (Harriet) Hudson, and Allan (Margaret) Crawford; her many friends in Prince George, BC; and her friends at Brookhaven Centre. Alice will be dearly missed. She was predeceased by her parents Fred & Maura Hudson; and brothers Edward and Vernon Hudson
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association.
A Family Graveside Service will be held in Alberta next summer to place Alice in her final resting place.
