In Loving Memory of Stefanie (nee Radaitis) Petrenas, 93 years, who died peacefully Saturday, November 26, 2022 at her residence with loving family at her side.
Beloved wife of Jonas Petrenas, predeceased 2001. Loving mother of Janina “Sue” Petrenas, Ruth Stortini (husband Tim), and Daina Lougheed. Cherished Granny of Zachery (Desiree), Samantha, Jonathan (Emily), and great-grandchildren Franceso “Franky” and Wesley.
Born and raised in Lithuania Stefanie came to Canada in 1949. She married Jonas Petrenas in 1950 in Montreal then moved to Sudbury. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was an excellent cook. A devout Roman Catholic she had faithfully attended Christ the King Church. Stefanie will be remembered as a woman of great strength and character. She was devoted to her family taking great pride in their accomplishments and activities. In turn she inspired them with her work ethic, faith, and love. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten. The family expresses their appreciation to April, Annie, and Laibe for their excellent care and support and Dr. Dan Krawzcuk for his help.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Society and the Lithuanian Martyr’s Parish would be appreciated.
Funeral Mass in the Christ the King Church, 30 Beech Street, Sudbury, Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 at 9:30 am. Interment in the family plot at the Civic Cemetery. No funeral Visitation. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
