Obituary of Stanley James Scott
Stanley James “Stan” Scott
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Stan at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022, at the age of 75. He was the beloved husband of the late Sharon Lorraine (née McLellan), and the loving father of James and his wife Kathryn of Ajax. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Olivia and Ryan and by his siblings Valerie James (predeceased by her husband Warren), Ken Prescott (Madeleine), Lois Graham (Wayne), and Dawn Scott. He will also be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Stan worked for many years as a Registered Nursing Assistant with the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital. He spent his spare time fishing the lakes of Northern Ontario and watching sporting events. Visiting for Stan will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday, December 17th from 10:00 am until the Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Internment of ashes will take place this Spring at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Rutherglen. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
