Stanley’s Obituary
DAVIS, Stanley Sinclair, age 76, of Lower Wedgeport, passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2022 with his family by his side. Born on January 3, 1946 in Yarmouth, he was the son of the late Freeman and Sarah Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Anna (Doucette); sons James (Angela) Davis, Alfred Davis and Jerry (Darlene) Davis; step-sons Larry (Norma) Doucette, Bernard (Debbie) Doucette; step-daughters Arlene(Clinton) Saulnier, Sharon (Bruce) LeBlanc, Lisa (Alan) Saulnier, daughter-in-law Jane Mary Doucette, and a sister Gladys Crosby. He had thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents Stanley was predeceased by siblings Cecil, Roger, Belle, Mae, Marjorie, Joyce and Audrey and also a step-son Robert Doucette.
Through the years, he worked as a heavy equipment operator and a truck driver. Even though Stanley had been a bilateral leg amputee for the past 14 1/2 years, he continued to enjoy camping, visiting friends and neighbors on his scooter during the summer months, spending time with family and most of all his passion for deer hunting which he could not have done without the help of his good friend Edward Surette.
The family would like to thank the VON and the Yarmouth Argyle Home Support Services. A special thank you to Dr. David Webster for his care, calls and compassion especially during the last few years.
Cremation has taken place under the care of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 11 a.m. from St. Michaels Catholic Church , with interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
