Nixon – Stan
Peacefully at home as per his wishes, on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in his 78th year. Loving husband of 54 years to Pat (nee Jones). His pride and joy were his family, sons Jeremy and Heather; Jeff and Lauralee; and grandchildren Hugh, Kayla, Caroline, Carson and Brayden. Stan was the beloved son of the late Maynard and Rita Nixon. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Richard Jones (late Mary). Predeceased by his sister-in-law Shirley Currie (late Terry).
Stan had many pleasures in life. Foremost was bringing the family together for Sunday dinners. Nothing was better than playing 18 holes of golf and talking great shots over a beer. Socializing with friends from EMR. Llano Grande, the CCEA, campers and the farming community. He loved to bring a smile with a very corny joke or two.
The family would like to thank all the healthcare professionals who made his journey a little easier, especially nurse Peggy Crawford.
A private family inurnment will take place followed by a Celebration of Life at the farm on Monday, June 27th from 1 to 4 p.m. Casual dress with ballcaps not optional. Donations in Stan’s honour may be made to the Irving Greenberg Cancer Centre
