Obituary
Spence passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 79 years after a brief illness, in the presence of family. He was predeceased by his parents George and Marie (Fink).
Spence is survived by his wife Elizabeth, daughter Jennifer, son Andrew (Heidi), stepdaughter Gayle (David), grandson Bradley, step granddaughters Abbie (Sam) and Katie and sister Judy. Spence worked for the Federal Government in Ottawa for 26 years before returning to North Bay. He enjoyed spending time with family, relatives and friends here in North Bay, at Talon Lake and in Prince Edward Island.
At his request, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Tuesday August 23rd, 2022, between the hours of 10 am and noon followed by a Celebration of Life at noon in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel.
A light luncheon will take place following the service at the 406 Wing on First Avenue West.
In lieu of flowers, Spence has requested donations to the Children’s Branch of the War Amps or Nipissing Serenity Hospice. Online condolences may be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com
