Cathy was a kind, compassionate, giving, and witty pillar in the community. She worked at the Windermere Garden Centre for close to 40 years and was active in the community. Earlier in life she was a brownie/girl guide and 4H leader and canvasser for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Cathy was also a proud member of Muskoka Pioneer Association, Raymond Country Ladies and Hall and the Women’s Institute.
We would like to thank Dr. Adams, Dr. Jones, and team along with her nurse practitioner Christine Fitchett. To the nurses, Ruth and Cheryl, who gave her exceptional care in the hospital until we could get her home. To the Paramed nurses who came out when the time had come. Special thanks to Ashley Loader and Jenna Peacock for helping us keep her comfortable and to Cheryl Kinghan for your comfort and support.
Cremation has taken place and she’s got her smokin’ hot body. A Celebration of Cathy’s Life will be held at a later date.
For those who wish, and in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cathy may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
