Shura Genevieve 2022

Genevieve Shura passed away peacefully at Toronto Grace Hospital, on Monday 13 June 2022 at 91 years of age. Loving wife of the late George William Kidd. Survived by sister, Mary Hynes. Predeceased by brothers Walter and Joseph Shura and Sister Elizabeth “Betty” Bain. Daughter of the late Anna and Peter Shura.
Born in Brightstone, Manitoba on 11 November 1930. Moving to Toronto around 1950, living with family members, she met George Kidd soon after. She worked for Dineen Construction for 31 years as the Executive Secretary. Genevieve and George were avid sailors, sailing out of Midland, Ontario. Sailing adventures included their 4 nephews and teaching them how to sail. Sailing to favourite places such as Beausoleil Island, Honey Harbour, Frying Pan Bay and Penetanguishene areas. Many great memories were created over the years vacationing with the families of her sisters at Blue Water Beach, Ontario.
Genevieve will be sadly missed by her sister Mary, nephews, Bruce, Warren, Doug and Craig all of Ontario and many other family members in Manitoba.
Visitation is Saturday 25 June 2022 at 11:00am at Morley Bedford Funeral Services, 159 Eglinton Ave W, Toronto, ON. Chapel Service at 12:00PM. Internment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery immediately following.
