Passed away peacefully at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital on Friday, October 28, 2022, in her 85th year, with her loving family at her side. Predeceased by her beloved friend and companion Fred Moller, her loving parents Bert and Ethel Bartlett, and her devoted sister Wyona Trombley. Survived by her former husband David Stinson. Cherished mother of Janie McCabe (late Tim), Danny Stinson (Leeanne) and Paul Stinson (Pauline). Dear grandmother who, in her younger years among other fond memories, was an exceptionally devoted sports fan of her seven grandchildren: Ian, Eric, Morgan, Remington, Matthew, Natalie and Cameron. Shirley was also a very proud great-grandmother of Hannah, Ila, Remi, Paul, Vivian, Harrison, Eli, Vance and Georgia.
Shirley had an avid passion for dance, music, shopping, and picture-taking, especially of her grandbabies. Grand-Mom Shirley, may your soul dance its way to eternal peace and comfort. The family would like to thank staff at L&A Hospital for the compassionate care provided to Shirley. An extra special heartfelt thank you to Rhonda and Karen who helped care for Shirley with infinite kindness and patience.
A private family Graveside Service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Napanee at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa.
