Obituary of Shirley Laird-Lemmon (Cole)
On Monday, August 9, 2022, in her 83rd year, Shirley was reunited with her family and friends who have gone before her. She battled with dementia for the last 10 years. Her family is comforted that she is now at peace. Shirley is predeceased by her first husband Wm. ‘Bill’ Laird; her second husband George Lemmon; her parents Murney and Norma Cole and brother Harry Cole. She will live on in the hearts of her children Bill (Christina), Larry (Linda) and Al (Chris); her grandchildren Ashley, Jesse, Jeff, Josh, Amanda and Jordan; her great grandchildren Abel, Abigail, Ashton, Casey, Ireland, Isla, Layla, Liam and Vera; her sister Joan and sister-in-law Dot. The family would like to extend a “Big Thank-you” to Dr. Connor and all staff at Helen Henderson Care Centre for taking such good care of Shirley.
The family will receive friends at the Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373) on Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 2-4 pm. A Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Moscow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
