Shirley Mae Fralic 2022

Shirley’s Obituary
Fralic, Shirley Mae – Age 87 of Clarence, Annapolis County., passed away Monday, December 12, 2022, at home. Born in South Brookfield, Queens Co., she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Marie Zwicker. Shirley was extremely proud of the home that she and Murray had lived and raised their family in for the past 43 years. Since the children were young, she began calling Murray “Dad” and he would call her “Mom” just as the kids would. Shirley loved her flower gardens in the yard and took great pleasure in having brightly colored flower baskets and planters displayed on the verandah. She found it very rewarding to be living in Clarence and therefore involved herself deeply in volunteering with the church, community club and of course the 4-H organization in which she devoted herself as a leader, chaperone, cook and “4-H Mom” to so many. In later years Shirley enjoyed many years of summer camping as she and Murray would head out to numerous bluegrass and variety shows across the province ending the season off with a big campout and cranberry pick along the Mersey River near Lake Rossignol. Shirley cherished her family dearly and was very proud to be a part of their lives. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 62 years, Murray Fralic; son, James (Jeremy Wex), Gambier Island, BC; daughter, Linda (Allen) Greene, Nictaux; sister, Jean DesRosiers, South Brookfield; grandchildren, Ste Claire Fralic, Sebastian Fralic and Coco Fralic all of BC and Devin Wood, Kingston. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by sons, Stephen, and Michael; sister, Barbara Ramey and brother Paul Zwicker. The family would like to acknowledge Shirley’s close friends who never failed to call or visit her to let her know they were thinking of her. In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free: 1-855-825-3448. Memorial donations may be made in Shirley’s name to Fairview Cemetery or Annapolis County 4-H.
