Shirley Mae
Edwards – Valley,
passed away peacefully on her 91st birthday,
Thursday, November 7, 2019, at The Mira Long Term Care Centre, Truro.
Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Florence
(Staples) McNutt.
A long-time member of Crossroads Baptist Church, she
practiced her faith and had a great love for the Lord. As a homemaker,
she enjoyed gardening, reading and puzzles.
Shirley is survived by her children, Darlene Robar, Truro;
Marlo McFadden, Middleton; Craig Jorgensen, Ottawa; grandchildren,
Jamie Robar (Marsha), Michael Robar (Tamara), Matthew McFadden (Ruth),
Kate McLeod (Joel), Eryn Jorgensen; great grandchildren, Justin,
Olivia, Marleigh, Vale, Anna, Mae; sister, Ruth Sutherland; brother,
Ronald McNutt.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her first
husband, Viggo Jorgensen; second husband, John Edwards; sisters, Jean
Weir, Dorothy Wyer; half-sister, Doris Brown; brothers, Walter McNutt,
Gordon McNutt, Fred McNutt; son-in-law, Glen Robar.
Graveside interment service will be held 3
p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Crossroads Cemetery, 110 Salmon
River Road, Valley, Pastor Caleb Kelly
officiating.
Donations may be made to Crossroads Baptist Church,
Valley.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
