GRANT, Shirley Laurena (née Warren)
Of Oakville, Ontario, passed away in Burlington on March 22, at 94 years old after a lengthy illness. Beloved wife of the late Gordon McLeod Grant (2019). Survived by her children, Heather and Warren, cherished granddaughter Laura (Mike) and great-grandchildren Owen and Cooper and her sister-in-law Marilynn Grant, as well as several nieces and nephews. Dear sister of the late Marguerite Buckland, the late John Warren and the late Alan Warren.
Born in Toronto Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lorena (née Wiser) Warren. She was raised in Stratford, Ontario and later traveled with her family to many military bases as an RCAF wife and always with a cheerful smile to all . She later settled in Bronte and enjoyed her long lived marriage of 70 years with her Gordy.
She will be remembered for her beauty, wisdom and quick wit, and sense of style..
There will be no funeral services as Shirley requested. Donations would be gratefully accepted to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario and their efforts to conquer a cruel disease, or to humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. Thank you.
