It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of
Shirley Joan McKenna, age 87, of Richmond
Hill, Ontario, who passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the
Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
Born in Oyster Bed Bridge, PEI, she was a daughter of the
late William and Margaret (Peters) Aylward.
Shirley was brought up in PEI, where she met and married her
husband. They moved to Richmond Hill, Ontario and lived a wonderful
life. She raised six wonderful kids and was very well loved. She
worked for many years for Texas Instruments. In recent years she moved
to Springhill to be with her daughters.
Shirley will be dearly missed by her children George,
Toronto, ON, Sherry McKenna, Alvina McKenna, both of Springhill,
Joseph (Terri), Shawn, and Ralph, all of Barrie, ON; several
grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings Wilma Stewart,
Springhill, NS, Lynda Dietrich, Lindsay, ON and Cora McKinnon,
BC.
She was predeceased by her husband George, siblings William,
Lester, and Gary.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care and guidance
of the A H Brown Funeral Home, 5
McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). There will be no
visitation or funeral.
