Obituary
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Shirley Jean Fulton (nee Grant). After a courageous battle with ALS, which she fought with her trademark strength and braveness, Shirley passed away peacefully on June 15th, 2022, in Calgary, Alberta.
Shirley moved to Calgary in 2021 to be closer to her daughter Patti after spending the last thirty years on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, most of which she spent with her soulmate and husband, James Fulton. Though he sadly passed away ten years ago, they had a wonderful life together, travelling on their boat with their many close friends and, later, seeing the world throughout their twenty-nine cruises. Shirley was feisty her whole life right to the end. A beautiful, intelligent, stubborn, and classy lady, she was active and highly social, playing bridge, dining with friends, and watching numerous shows and concerts. Shirley will be missed by her family, friends, and the many who knew her.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Patti Booth and her husband Bill; Stephanie (granddaughter); Wesley (grandson) and his wife Kayla and their children Ayden and Izabella; as well as grandson Jason Wright (Dia) and their children; granddaughter Jasmine Wright and her children; and grandsons Taylor Grant (Angie); and Fraser Grant (Corrine) and their children. Finally, Shirley is survived by her younger sister, Joanne (nee Grant); and her brother Dale Grant. Shirley was predeceased by her husband James Fulton; her eldest daughter Marsha Grant (nee Wright); son John Wright; and granddaughter Jessica Wright.
