Shirley Georgina Linkletter 1945 2022

It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Shirley Georgina Linkletter,
age 76, of River Hebert East, NS. Shirley passed away on Friday, July
15, 2022 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of
the late Elva Porter.
Shirley was an armchair athlete,
enjoying watching curling and golf on TV. She loved going for drives,
going out to restaurants, shopping and was a lover of all animals.
Shirley was an avid gardener and a lover of sweets but above all else,
she loved her family.
Shirley will be dearly missed by her
husband of 62 years Merle “Sam”; daughter Sharon
Linkletter-Ryan (Garnet Trenholm) of Fort Lawrence; son Keith
Linkletter of River Hebert; brothers Ben (Doris) Corkum of Glenhom and
Rick (Jenny) Corkum of New Annan; sister Linda of Springhill; cousin
Lester O’Regan of Joggins; sister-in-law Linda (Steve) Quinn of River
Hebert East; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her biological mother, she was
predeceased by her Mama Ella Porter.
The family would like to give a special
thanks to Jillian, Nancy, staff at CRHCC and their extended family for
the love and support at the hospital.
Arrangements are under the care and
direction of the Jones Family Funeral
Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, (902 667 8777). A
graveside service will take place Wednesday July 20, 2022 at 11am in
the Hillside Cemetery in River Hebert.
Donations in memory of Shirley may be
made to Diabetic Association of Canada.
