Shirley Faye Cates, age 83, of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022. She was a faithful member of Marbledale Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by husband, Paul Cates; mother, Bertie Ramsey; daughter, Cathey Strong; granddaughter, Taylor Cates; three brothers; three sisters.
Survived by daughter, Paula Cates; son, Rick and wife Karen Cates; grandchildren, Aimee Cutler, Justin Strong, Kelli Cates, Jessi Cates, Staci McCarter, Blake Strong.
The family will receive friends 1:00-3:00 PM Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Bridges Funeral Home and process to Caledonia Cemetery for a 3:30 PM interment with Rev. David Neal officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marbledale Baptist Church, 5935 Thorngrove Pike, Knoxville TN 37914.
