SHIRLEY EMILY JEANNOTTE
(NEE ADOLPHE)
JUNE 23, 1935 – JANUARY 17, 2022
On Monday, January 17, 2022 our beautiful mother gained her angel wings and joined our dad, the love of her life, in Heaven.
Mom will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Cheryl (Trent), Ken (Heidi), Michael (Irene), Leanne (Johnny) as well as 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her two brothers, Ken (Margaret) and Wayne. She will also be missed by several brothers and sisters in law as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was born on June 23, 1935 in Libau Manitoba to John and Emily Adolphe. She was the eldest of three children. At the age of 15, mom moved to Winnipeg to live with her grandparents.
Shortly after, she moved into an apartment with three girlfriends, and it was through one of them that she met our dad. After a short courtship they were married on December 27, 1952 in Laurier Manitoba. Mom and Dad enjoyed 62 years of marriage together, making many happy memories along the way.
Mom enjoyed doing various crafts over the years such as, paper tole art, knitting, crocheting, and most recently stained glass. She was an avid gardener with an amazing green thumb. Her rose bushes were the envy of many of the neighbours!
Thank you to all the wonderful health care providers at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion. We truly appreciate all that they did for our mom.
Due to Covid a private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
