It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Shirley Day of Garnish announces her passing. Shirley passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank on Sunday, January 9th, 2022, at the age of 83.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her brother, Boyd Day (Rosalie) of St. John’s; niece, Tanya Day (Emad) of St. John’s, Carla Day (Glen) of ON; nephews, Robert Day (Joann) of Alberta, Scott Day (Caroline) of Alberta; special nephew, Colin Day of Garnish; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Shirley was predeceased by parents, Charles & Elizabeth Day; brothers, Gervis, Calvin; sister in-law, Florence.
Given the COVID-19 situation The Day Family has decided not to accept visitors. Funeral service will take place at the Garnish United Church on Thursday, January 13th, 2022 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at United Church Cemetery, Garnish, NL.
In Shirley’s memory donations may be made to United Church Cemetery Fund, Garnish, NL.
