Durling, Shirley Beatrice ,84 of Yarmouth passed away August 31,2022 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital with loving family by her side. Born in Newburne, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter to the late Clarence and Jenny (Eisner) Beck. Shirley was a loving wife to Bernie for 62 years, a wonderful mother, and doting grandmother. She had a great love of music and a strong faith in God. Shirley was a choir director at the Hebron Baptist church for many years and had a gospel program on Viking Cable TV called Gospel in Song. She enjoyed games of rook, playing with her grandchildren, recording Christian music, and working at her son Chris’ store. She is survived by her sons, Chris (Judy), Yarmouth; Joel (Heidi), Yarmouth; grandchildren, Sam (Evelyn); Gabe (Brianne); Chloe (Landon); brothers, Donald (Irene) Beck, Newburne; Harold (Carol Weagle), Newburne. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernie; siblings, Douglas; Joan; George ; Murray. Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 3,2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church. Rev. A.J. Plaizier officiating. There will be a live stream of the service on the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church Facebook Page for those unable to attend. Family only interment to follow in the Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery or Yarmouth Hospital Foundation.
