Shirley Anne (Moore) Manderville
(May 22, 1938 – March 24, 2022)
Shirley Anne (Moore) Manderville, devoted Wife, Mother, Grand Mother, Great Grand Mother and Friend passed away peacefully on March 24, 2022 at the age of 83 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born to Beatrice and Arthur Moore in Campbellton, NB on May 22, 1938. There were a total of five Siblings: Sister Colleen (Jardine) Pre-deceased, Sister Elenor (Corning) Pre-deceased, Brother Richard (Dick), Sister Maureen Pre-deceased and Brother David. In 1944 her Family moved to Penniac, NB where she graduated High School at the tender age of 16. From there she finished Business College and worked at Fraser’s Mill , then Poirier Woodworking as administrative support in Newcastle, NB. It was here where she met the love of her life, Clell Manderville (Pre-deceased) in 1957. Together, they had two children: Mark Reid (pre-deceased)and Darin. Mom spent many years as Worthy Matron in the local chapter of the Easter Star and volunteered 12 rewarding years as Girl Guide leader in the community of Derby, NB where she spent most of her adult life.
Family and Friends meant everything to Mom. She loved spending her time in the kitchen baking and creating delicious meals for her Family, sharing afternoon tea and evening Yahtzee with Friends. The Cottage, “River’s Bend” is where good times and laughs were shared by all, she was even known to slip on a pair of “gum-boots” and take part in occasional mid-night salmon poaching with Dad, Arnie and Marquis. Her sense of humor and keen ability to “spin a good yarn” was a special trait that was uplifting and will be forever remembered.
Shirley is survived by her son Darin, daughter in-law Vanessa (Elliott), Grand Children Jami, Mark (Alyssa Kilcollins) & Great Grand Son Elliott; her brothers Richard (Dick) Moore & David (Cindy) Moore, in addition to the many nieces & nephews, all of whom were her favorite! “GG” was especially proud of great-grandson Elliott who recently blessed our Family a few short months ago… He was the light in her eyes whenever she held him.
Her bright smile and cheerful attitude will be missed by all who loved her.
Rest easy. Mom…
At the Family’s request there will be no visitation. A grave side ceremony followed by Celebration of Life at “The Cottage” for Family and close Friends will be held at a later date.
