It is with great
sadness that the family of Sherrie Noble announce her passing on
November 15, 2022 at age 65. Born in Bath, New Brunswick, she was the
daughter of Alice Burke and Elwyn
York.
Sherrie graduated
from St. John Community College in 1977 and worked in the field of
Human Service Counselling for several years before returning to St.
Thomas University to complete her Social Work degree. Sherrie
practiced Social Work for 30 years in New Brunswick, most recently at
the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital,
Fredericton.
Sherrie was very
proud of her work accomplishments, one of which was working with the
Department of National Defence to produce a video addressing family
violence in the military. This video was made available to all
military bases across
Canada.
Sherrie loved her
family dearly and when not working, spent much of her time planning
and preparing for that next “perfect” special occasion. She
loved to cook and was often called upon for her timeless
recipes.
“Grammy
Gnigni” will be missed beyond measure and remembered
forever.
Sherrie
is survived by her three daughters Sacha, Farrah (Phil) and Vanessa
Noble; beloved grandchildren Ross Robertson, Max and Mara MacKinnon,
Mango Langmaid and Kai Noble; nieces, Terri Ann and Tracy Nicholas and
Holly Peters; grand nieces and nephews Nicholas, Sebastian, Sophia,
Tori, Jacob, Olivia, Stella and Chloe; many dear cousins and
friends.
Sherrie was
predeceased by her dear sister, Ann
Peters; mother, Alice Burk;
father, Elwyn York and grandpuppy,
Pancake.
A funeral service
will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday,
November 20th at 4pm with Reverend Chris
Bennett Officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date.
The funeral service will be livestreamed for those who are unable to
attend. The livestream can be accessed on the day of the service
through the link found on Sherrie’s
