Shepperd, Franklin John ‘Frank’
Frank Shepperd of Meaford passed away at the Meaford Hospital surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the age of 80.
Born in Meaford on November 13, 1942, Frank was one of 8 children born to his late parents Arthur and Violet (nee Lievre) Shepperd.
Frank was the loving husband of Marie (nee Hutchinson) Shepperd of Meaford.
He was a kind and caring father to Robin Shepperd (Kevin Grahlman), Christopher (Charlene) Shepperd, Shawn (Laurie) Shepperd, and Paul Shepperd.
He was an inspirational Poppa to Charly Baxter (Stephen Miernicke), Eric Shepperd, Ethan Shepperd, Hannah Shepperd and Jonathan Shepperd. Frank was predeceased by his grandson Cody Shepperd.
He was a brother to Bruce (Lucille) Shepperd and predeceased by brothers James (Margaret) Shepperd, Donald (Winara) Shepperd, Ronald (Patricia) Shepperd and sisters Aileen (Paul) Mills, Helen (Arthur) Sills and Jean (Kenneth) Prouse.
Frank will always be fondly remembered by many, many nieces and nephews.
Frank was definitely one of a kind! He had a unique personality and a wonderful imagination for storytelling. He was master jokester often throwing people off guard (true or false?), and the only person who got away without having a filter! Frank was a straight shooter, called the shots as he saw them, and commanded respect. Underneath his tough persona however, he was a sensitive, deeply caring man who loved his family. He was a ‘jack of all trades’ and a perfectionist in all that he did.
Our memories of Frank – his laughter; his humour, which he definitely passed down to his children!; his light; his patience; and his tenderness will forever be treasured!
Frank Shepperd was an outstanding human being! He truly made his family proud to be a Shepperd!
A private family service will be conducted at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford.
