Bathurst – Mrs. Shelva Cripps, wife of the late Patrick “Paddy” Cripps, formerly of Bridge St., passed away Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 at the Foyer Notre Dame-de-Lourdes in Bathurst at the age of 81.
Born in Bathurst she was the daughter of the late Weldon and Annie (Good) Wood.
She is survived by her long-time partner, Earl Alexander of Bathurst and four children: Garnet of Bathurst, Gloriann “Glory” Cripps (Glen McLean) of Bathurst, William “Billy” Cripps (Tammy Davison) of Pabineau Falls and Kimberly “Kimmy” Cripps (Michael Losier) of Bathurst.
Three grandchildren: Shane, Amber, Jacob and four great-grandchildren: Madison, Taylor, Hayley and Olivia.
Two Sisters: Edwina Laturnus of Ottawa and Gloriann Hachey (Lionel) of North Tetagouche.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Harold, Janet, Georgina, Ada, Betty, Blair and Billy.
Shelva worked for the Red Cross for many years.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) on Tuesday January 3rd, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 4th, 2023 at 2 p.m. from Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel.
Donations in memory of Shelva may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
