Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Shelly Croker (nee: Jolly), a dear wife, mother, grandmother, and sister at the age of 65 years. After a lengthy battle with her illness, she found peace and passed at the Fairview Hospital on October 1, 2022.
Shelly was a force of strength and love for all who knew her, she gave all of herself and more to those around her. She prided herself on working hard and accomplishing her highest standard during her working years. She enjoyed the challenges of her time with Anderson Exploration, Devon Canada, and finally ending her career with CNRL, her friendships during her career were long lasting along with her quick wit and devious sense of humor.
Her greatest love was her family, most of all her grandchildren. Her 45 years of marriage to Barry yielded a love that carried her until the end and gave her the family she crossed oceans for. Mom brought fun into every occasion and made it her mission to ensure each and every moment was the grandest of memories; from the largest celebrations filled with gifts and enough food to feed the town, to the most enjoyable backyard fires with all the marshmallows and chocolate she could find. The years she spent as a grandmother were the light of her life, adoring every inch of her grandbabies. Grandma became the biggest kid in the group, ensuring each child was provided with all the games and toys she could buy, welcoming all the extra children that came around and played with them for as long as she could. She held her grandchildren with so much love, and even through her illness, she pushed aside her pain to be their amazing grandma.
Shelly is survived and remembered by her husband Barry Croker; daughters Charity Croker, Chelsey Croker, and Samantha (Brandon) Grekul ; her beloved grandchildren Darren Croker, James Croker, Cage Grekul, Sadie Grekul; twin sister Sherry (Rick) Louttit; brothers Ted (Pat) Jolly, Doug (Maureen) Jolly, Don Jolly, John (Grace) Jolly and Sterling (Twila) Jolly and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shelly was predeceased by her parents Jack & Edna Jolly.
