STEWART, Sheldon Brian – 69 of Middlewood, passed away
peacefully on August 22, 2022 in South Shore Regional Hospital,
Bridgewater, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the
late Lincoln and Rita (Naugler) Stewart. Sheldon was a jack of all
trades, and enjoyed working, meeting new people and making new friends
over the years. Some of his employment included, but are not limited
to: working on the railroad, fish plant in Port Medway, Bridgewater
Taxi, Hebbs Cross Ultramar, Hawboldt Industries and MacKenzie
Security. Sheldon’s true passion though was repairing, restoring and
painting customer’s vehicles in his garage. He took pride in his work,
and continued to until his health began to decline. He was a proud
member of Italy Cross Middlewood Fire Department for over 14 years,
climbing the ranking ladder and serving as Deputy Chief for several
years. Sheldon did not just consider the members of the Fire
Department his friends, but more like his family. Sheldon’s
main priorities in life was his family, whom he fought 10 long
courageous years to be able to make more memories with, his 1995 Ford
F150 (Which he considered his baby), hunting with his wife, and his
love for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Surviving are his
devoted wife of 45 years Shirley; son Brian (Laura); daughter Amanda
(James); granddaughter Sophia; sister Linda (Barry); brothers Paul
(Shelly), Teddy (Pauline), Vaden, Timothy (Gina); several nieces,
nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Andrew.
Visitation will be held 7-9pm Thursday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home,
Wileville, where masks will be required. Funeral Service 2:00pm Friday
in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Pastor Paul
Jensen Officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Family
flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the family, C/O the
