LICHTI, Sharon
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Stratford General Hospital, Stratford. Sharon was born 76 years ago in Meaford, Ontario, and was a long-time resident of Tavistock, Ontario.
Sharon will be forever remembered by her partner Harry Baechler. Devoted mother of Jamie Sword (Roxie), Robert Sword (Maureen), Brad Sword (Sally Cressman) and Derek Sword (Emily). Cherished grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Sharon is survived by her siblings; Jim Sewell (Carol), Helen Thompson, Russell Sewell (Brenda), sister-in-law Elaine Booth (David) and by the Baechler family, her many nieces, nephews, colleagues, and friends.
Sharon is predeceased and reunited with her first and second husbands Robert Wayne Sword and Wayne Stanley Lichti, by her parents, Arthur, and Olive (Clarke) Sewell, father-in-law and mother-in-law Stan and Erma Lichti, brother Elwood Sewell and his wife Pat and by brother-in-law Les Thompson.
Sharon enjoyed the outdoors camping with her family and friends, she had a knack for gardening and canning. Sharon especially enjoyed family time watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports and cheering them on.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home. 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg, on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, from 2 – 4 & again from 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral will take place in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Fred Lichti to officiate. Interment in Riverside Cemetery. A reception will follow the interment at the New Hamburg Legion.
As expressions of sympathy, donations would be accepted to the Wilmot resource Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society.
