Sharon Marie Geraldine Thorpe
1952-2021
Sharon Marie Geraldine Thorpe – 69,
formerly of New Minas, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021, in the
Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born in Greenwich, she was
the daughter of the late Vernon and Jennie (Parsons) Vaughan. She is
preceded by her common-law husband of many years, Garth Francis Croft.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who
especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. During her early
years she took pride in babysitting her nieces, nephews and
friend’s children, and they all referred to her as
“Auntie”. She is survived by daughter Janesse (Steve)
Marryatt; son Jim (April) Thorpe; step-sons, Douglas (Shannon) and
Billy (Deborah) Croft; grandchildren, Jack Rogers (Patricia); Michael
and Mitchell Marryatt; Brittney (Saeed) and Bradley Thorpe;
step-grandchildren, Maddison, Hailey, Hayden and Gemma Croft;
great-grandchildren, Lariah and Bryson Rogers; sister, Marilyn;
brothers, Avery, Bob (Grace), Wayne (Sherry), Terry (Pat), Ricky
(Tina), Bruce (Kerri); sisters-in-law, Carolyn, JoAnne, Marion and
Deborah; brother-in-law, Errol “Harry”; many nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Vivian (Raymond), Beverly,
Larry, Cyril “Cy”, Lester “Buck”, and Randy;
brother-in-law, Kenneth. Cremation has taken place and
there will be no visitation, by request. A funeral service
will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 in the White Family
Funeral Home, Kentville. For those unable to attend a video webcast
will be available at that time. Private family interment will be held
in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to
the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted
to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. To
