Sharon was born October 22, 1954 in Smiths Falls, Ontario and passed away on October 27, 2022, she was 68 years old. Beloved mother to Shannon (Rob) and loving and devoted Nana to her three grandsons, Ace, Logan and Zane. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her pleasantness, kindliness, sense of humour and unique laugh. Sharon believed, “you are only young once” a phrase emphasizing the importance of enjoying one’s life and being present in the moment. She also appreciated many types of music and loved to dance. Her favourite entertainer was Elvis Presley and Sharon liked nothing more than dancing the night away to Blue Suede Shoes.
Sharon is predeceased by her parents Phyllis and Garnet McCreary of Oxford Mills, Ontario and her two sisters Betty O’Brien and Bonnie Brown. She is survived by her sister Anne (Bruce) Raby. Sharon was an aunt to Michael (Lynda), David (Lisa), Melanie, Angie (Matt) and Samantha (Jeff). She was a great aunt to Dylan, Ryan, Grace, Ben, Aidan and Will.
A special thank-you to the dedicated, friendly and caring staff of Orchard View, Idlewyld Manor , Hamilton who provided a home in the truest sense.
