Sharon Gaillard 2022

Sharon’s Obituary
Gaillard, Sharon Ann – 79, Springhill, passed away June 13, 2022 in QEII VG Site, Halifax. Sharon will be remembered by many for her sharp wit, mischievous sense of humour, generous heart, delicious cooking and her love for her family. In her years of cooking at the Rollways Restaurant, Sharon took pride in leaving her customers satisfied, whom she often referred to as friends. In her retired years, there wasn’t a lunch date she wouldn’t go on. Sharon was never one to sit still. After the passing of her husband, Bob, she kept herself going with one social event after another. Sharon loved bowling, playing bingo, shopping with friends and pulling a good natured prank every once in a while. Sharon was a proud member of the “Garden Friends” team and participated many years in the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. She carried her sense of humour with her right to the very end. Sharon beamed with joy when it came to her family, especially her grandchildren and could be heard squealing down the hall when they came to visit. She was truly one of a kind and the void she’ll leave in the hearts of those who knew her, will remain forever.” She is survived by son, Tom (Sharon) Gaillard; Ruth (Chris) St. Peter; grandchildren, Nikki St. Peter (Mackenzie Connolly); Jeremy Gaillard; Madisyn Gaillard (Alex Patterson); Justhinah (David) Mann; Cassandra Teal (Isaias Peraza); Julianna Teal (Brady Parsons); Samuel Teal; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, John “Bob” Gaillard and daughter, Kelli Gaillard. Graveside service on Thursday, June 16 at 1 p.m. in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill. Arrangements with MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Oxford.
