Sharon Finstad March 3rd 2022

On March 3, 2022 Sharon Finstad, 65, went home to Heaven after battling multiple myeloma cancer for over 6 years. Sharon was born in Winnipeg to parents Lawrence and Alma Newman. They later moved to BC in her teens. She was the oldest of 5 with 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Sharon studied hairdressing in Surrey BC and worked for a few years until she met her husband at 24. They then moved to Armstrong where they started their family.
Sharon was known for teaching music, feeding everyone from her garden and serving others in any way she could. She was loved for being a kind, encouraging, sacrificially loving and generous woman who continually prayed for her family and friends. She loved the outdoors and made the point to pass the appreciation for it on to her family.
Her family that precedes her are her loving husband of 41 years Randy Finstad; their sons Jay, wife Cherelle; Kyle, wife Stephanie; Chad, wife Jocelyn; and grandchildren Tephilla, Hadasa, Magnus, Ashton, Briseis, and Zipporah.
The family wishes to thank Dr Hardy and the lovely nurses at the Vernon Cancer Clinic who took such great care of Sharon. Donations can be made to Myeloma Canada in lieu of flowers.
A memorial service will be held at Five Corners Church in Salmon Arm on March 26 at 2 pm. A Zoom streaming link for the service can be found on the church’s website. Her sweet voice will be missed but never forgotten.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Sharon Finstad March 3rd 2022..
