Obituary
Shannon Sherisse Richard (Desjarlais), born August 3, 1987, passed away surrounded by the comfort and love of her family on August 18, 2022. Shannon enjoyed karaoke, cooking and playing cards. She also liked to spend her time drumming and singing traditional song. Shannon was at her happiest when she spent time with her children. On March 2, 2022, Shannon married her love, Darryl Desjarlais Sr., with close family present to witness as they exchanged vows in a private ceremony. Shannon will be missed greatly by everyone who had the pleasure of being in her presence.
With heavy hearts, Shannon leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Darryl Desjarlais Sr.; her children Larry, Jack, Andrew, Elyssa, Thomas, Thunder; her stepchildren Eva, Eloise, Maxine, Darryl Jr., Angeline, Emily, Corrina; her father, Larry Richard; her siblings Ernest Hobson, Robert, Edward and Sophia Levasseur, Shauna, Melissa and Larry Eastman, Cynthia, Ashley, David, Shane, Lisa, Sara, Daisy, Amy and Keith Richard; her extended siblings Brenda Spence, Georgina Eastman, Tanya Aitkens and Elissa Roulette; her special grandparents Leslie Paul and Elizabeth Richard; her godparents Derek Richard and Myrna Beaulieu; her goddaughter Keyra Val Eastman; her special friend Andrew Cliff Hall; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Shannon was predeceased by her mother, Brenda Hobson; her grandparents Joseph and Harriet Richard; and her grandmother Bertha “Botta” Levasseur.
