KILEY, Shannon Lorraine –
Suddenly entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
Shannon Kiley fondly known by family and close friends as “George” of Prescott died at the young age of 41. She was the youngest daughter of her beloved “Mooma” Maureen Taylor-Kiley, step-daughter of Rick Brock of Picton, and special youngest daughter of the late Robert “Bob” Kiley. Shannon was the cherished and loving mother of Kayla Mann of Brockville, whom she adored with her entire heart and soul. She was a loving mother to her step-daughter Kaleigh Mann of Brockville whom she loved dearly. She was the beloved little sister of Sara Jane “Nee” Kiley-McDonald (David “Dee”) of Prescott and Heather “Behbah” (Norm “Skip” Gibson) of Elizabethtown. She was predeceased prior to birth by her older sister, Elizabeth Ann. Shannon was the calming, loving, cool “Aunt ShanAunton” of Alex “Kitty” Gibson, and special cousin of Jenny Ruthven of Welland, with whom she shared a close bond “Mahushrul”. She will be fondly remembered by her many close Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and countless close Friends.
Shannon was larger than life and cared deeply for others. Her heart overflowed with love and pride for Kayla and she cherished every moment they spent together and all of their many chats.
She was a strong and devoted advocate for mental health and addictions, and a champion for social justice.
Shannon is resting at the Rushnell Funeral Home – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street, Picton (613-476-2450). Funeral Arrangements are incomplete at this time.
If desired, and in keeping with Shannon’s passion for helping those struggling with mental illness and addiction, donations to Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health (llgamh.ca/), or the BC Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (www.bcmhsus.ca/) would be appreciated by her family.
