It is with great sorrow our family announce the passing of Theresa Schmidt (Henschel) on August 18, 2022 in Leduc, at the age of 97 years. She was predeceased by her husband Leo Schmidt, her parents, Karl and Susanna Henschel, and siblings Gerhard, Lora (Knopp), Erna (Neitsch), Ruth (Knopp), Clara, Amanda, Clarence, Alfred, Norman, son-in-law John Nicholson, and daughter-in law Caroline Schmidt (Halladay). She is survived by sister-in-law’s, Eileen Henschel, Nora Peterson and Ella Schmidt, as well as son’s Vern (Dawn) Schmidt, Harvey (Lora) Schmidt, Alvin, Gerald, Larry, and daughter’s Valerie Nicholson (Paul), Marjorie Schmidt (Bruce) and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Theresa’s funeral will be held on September 9, 2022, at 1:00 pm at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Thorsby. Our family would like to thank the staff at Planeview Place for their many years of exceptional care.
