Sarah Lillian Laslo (Lily)
April 24, 1941 – September 7, 2022
Sarah is survived by her children: Rhonda Fay, Kevin William, Sheldon Keith (Claudia), and Elliot John (Lenora), their children, and many great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, William Laslo, son Steven William, and daughter Katherine Ruth. Her parents were the late Jim McNab and late Sarah Bitternose, and she was raised by her grandparents, Harry and Louisa Bitternose until she was of age to attend residential school.
Sarah was always known to be a person of such great humor and she was always ready for a good laugh and a story or two. As a survivor of residential school and trauma in her early years, she lived her life with great resilience, and she took her strength from her many friends and family who loved her dearly. Sarah will be missed by her many friends and relatives. The last few years of her life found her dealing with age and illness and her journey to the spirit world is surely filled with peace and relief from pain and suffering. We will remember her with fondness for her joyful good-spirited ways.
Thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Integrated Care Centre for their years of service and dedication to Sarah’s care and well-being. Also thank you to Conley Funeral Home for their care and attention to the needs of the family in this time of sorrow.
Wake will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 4 pm in the Punnichy Community Hall, Punnichy, SK. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 11 am in the same location. As per Sarahs wishes, cremation will occur at a later date.
