It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Sarah Hiscock of Fortune announces her passing. Sarah passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank on Sunday, February 6th, 2022, at the age of 84. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her daughters, Patsy Fleming (Earl) of Fortune, Jacqueline Brady (Danny) of Fortune, Lorna Hiscock (Roy Cooper) of Fortune, Penny Norman (Loyola) of Paradise; special friend, Calvin Foote of Grand Bank; sister in law, Winnie Hiscock; brothers in law, Murdock Hiscock (Grace), Majors Lorne and Ella Hiscock, Willis Hiscock (Linda), Fred Piercey, Cecil Caines; 7 grand children, Danielle, Holly, Gina, Heather, Joshua, Lucas, Paul; 11 great-grand children, Amber, Hayden, Daniel, Alexa, Faith, Tyler, Kinleigh, Aly, Jade, Arlo, Mia.; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Sarah was predeceased by husband, Seymour Hiscock; parents, Archibald and Bertha Thorne; infant son, Garry; brothers, Archibald, Benjamin, George; sisters, Bertha, Lucy, Lillian; parents in law, Willis and Hazel Hiscock; step-father in law, Cyril MacDonald; sisters in law, Dinah Caines, Wavey Piercey.
The Hiscock Family will be accepting visitors at Fortune Salvation Army Citadel on Monday, February 7th, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Tuesday, February 8th, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral service will take place at Fortune Salvation Army Citadel on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
In keeping with the current Covid-19 regulations, this will be a walk through visitation. Proof of vaccination will be required and masks must be worn. Please sign the Covid contact tracing sheet upon entering the building.
Interment to follow at Fortune Salvation Army. In Sarah’s memory donations may be made to Salvation Army Cemetery Fund, or flowers gratefully accepted.
