Sarah Allen
1979-2021
The family of Sarah MacKenzie Allen of Riverview is saddened
to announce her passing on Friday, December 31, 2021. Born in Moncton,
she was the daughter of Heather MacKenzie and the late Blair
Allen.
Besides her mother, she will be forever remembered by her
husband, Bryan Bingham; her daughter, Sophie Melanson; her maternal
grandmother, Marion MacKenzie; her aunts Janet (Jim Bliss) MacKenzie
and Margaret Harris.
On her paternal side she is lovingly remembered by her
grandparents Cecil and Mina Allen and her father’s siblings
Blaine (Maureen), Sally Anne, Jane (Leo), George (Sally), Betty Lea
(Larry), and Jeffrey (Patricia).
She also leaves to mourn her father and mother-in-law,
Richard and Jayne Bingham; her brother-in-law, Steven (Cherie)
Bingham; the father of her daughter, Dave Melanson; as well as
numerous cousins including her favourite cousin, Michelle
Bliss.
Besides her father she was predeceased by her grandfather,
Donald MacKenzie; her stepfather, Dr. Fred Grant; and her uncle Robert
Allen (Bernice).
Sarah had been an RN at the Moncton Hospital where she worked
in the pediatrics department. She was a passionate reader who enjoyed
travel and was a very creative person who loved working on different
projects. She was blessed with amazing friends and loved spending time
with them. Sarah’s greatest joy was her daughter Sophie whom
she loved and cherished and in whom she took great
pride.
A private service will take place Friday, January
7th at 5pm. For those who wish to view the
service, it will be live-streamed through the funeral home website.
Sarah’s family will be receiving relatives and friends at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 6-8pm.
Proof of double vaccination, photo ID, and masks will be
required.
