After a long and happy life dedicated to her family, Santina passed away on Mother’s Day, May 8, 2022 at the age of 87. Born in Amatrice, Italy on All Saints’ Day, November 1, 1934 and raised in Rome.
Loving wife of Basil Mariotti for 68 years. Cherished mother of Anne Mariotti, Cynthia Masone Mariotti, Deanna Mariotti (Sheldon Rybowski), and Mark Mariotti (Deirdre Roberts). Devoted Nonna of Gabrielle, Alyssa and Matthew Masone, Jane, Michael, Greta and John Mariotti. Survived by sister, Anna Martina of Rome, Italy. Predeceased by sisters, Pina and Nunzia and brother, Joe. She will also be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and her little dog, Allister (Lele).
Extremely social and inquisitive, Santina loved to talk to family, friends and anyone she met. Always hailing from Rome, the most beautiful city in the world. She loved to share her fascination of things from the largest in the universe to the smallest of creatures.
Arrangements entrusted to Families First Funeral Home (519-969-5841). A private service will be held at a later date and entombment will take place at Heavenly Rest Mausoleum.
Donations in memory of Santina may be made to the Hospice of Windsor Es County or the Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor.
