Obituary
Wilson, Sandra Evelyn – 77, Port Howe, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Born in Trenton, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Lucy Fraser. Sandra was the former owner of Wilson’s Variety, Main Street, Springhill, after the family relocated from Dartmouth. She also did a lengthy stint at Seagull Pewter, Pugwash, before eventually settling into a more leisurely lifestyle, on Leisure Lane, Sheriff’s Place Beach, Port Howe. Her smile and her familiar phrase “What’s going on?” would light up a room quickly followed by her infectious laugh, and her inquisitive, yet genuinely caring questions to everyone. She was an avid beachcomber, finding the best beach glass, as evidenced throughout her “Happy Place,” the cottage! She was an expert puzzle solver, whether it be Sudoku, crossword, or jigsaw. She loved to read, whether it be true crime, biographies, or “smut” as she called it. Everyone can agree, she was the life of the party; she loved to sing, dance, and play any game that we dreamt up, and loved to “take our money” playing Rummoli; extremely competitive and creative to say the least. Above all Sandra was mom and nan, she loved her little family beyond imagination, and her grandsons were her pride and joy, taking a keen interest in their life and their happiness. Sandra is survived by sons, Mark (Flo), Truro; Michael (Kim and children, Austin and Macy), Middle Stewiacke; grandsons, Corey (Rosie), Ben (Kirsten) and Alexander Wilson; sister, Paula Sweet, Brighton, ON; special nieces Charlie (Angus) McAuley and Kris (Rob) Walker, and several nieces and nephews. She will be so missed but always loved and will finally be reunited with the love of her life Leonard who has been waiting to share his “Happy Pills” with her since 2018.
