Sandra Lynn Beattie July 17 1958January 31 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved sister, aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law and friend; Sandra Lynn Beattie at the age of 63. Sandi passed away unexpectantly, at home, on Monday, January 31st , 2022.
Sandra was born to John and Sarah Beattie (nee Campbell) on July 17th, 1958, and was raised in in the North End of Winnipeg where she attended Tec Voc High School, graduating in 1976. Soon after, she began working at the Royal Bank of Canada’s main branch and worked for the bank until her retirement in 2012. During her time at RBC she made many lifelong friends who she went on trips with, had many fun get togethers and still saw and talked to on a regular basis. Her lifelong friend Rose (Rob) Derksen was a constant source of joy and support for all of Sandi’s life. From talking over the fence as kids to long conversations over the phone in recent times, Rose was always there for Sandi.
One of Sandi’s great loves was music, specifically from the 60’s and 70’s and she had an extensive collection of albums and CD’s to reflect that. Many weekends would simply be spent listening to her favorites and relaxing by reading or catching up with friends and family on the phone. Sandi also loved being involved in the lives of her nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces. Over the years she attended many of their soccer games, Christmas concerts, graduations, and other events.
Sandi leaves to mourn her brother Gerald (Barbara), her niece Carolyn (Heike Stewart), her nephew Eric (Mikaela); her nephew Christopher, her niece Katherine (Victor) Brito, great-nephews Ethan and Isaac, her niece Heather, and great-nieces Emma and Riley. She is predeceased by her parents John and Sarah Beattie, her brother Robert Beattie and his wife Lynne Beattie.
In memory of Sandi, family and friends are encouraged to make a donation in her name, in lieu of flowers, to the Canadian Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Thank you for your love and support during this difficult time.
