Sandra Lee Williams Godden 19422022

Sandra Lee (Williams) Godden
1942-2022
GODDEN, Sandra Lee (Williams) – Our
beloved Sandra Lee was born in Halifax on New Years Eve 1942 and
returned to the Lord on April 11, 2022 in the Élisabeth
Bruyère Hospital, Ottawa, ON.
Sandra attended Cornwallis District High School
while living in Canning, where she met and married her first husband,
Ivan McFetridge, of Habitant. While in the valley, she worked for a
number of hospitality groups, including the Old Orchard Inn. Sandra
loved life and Jesus. She was an avid gardener and outdoor enthusiast.
In latter years, in Halifax, Nova Scotia she married her second
husband, Michael John Godden. She cherished her time spent with family
and friends. She was a member of a local walking group with matching
t-shirts that said, “Navan Street Walkers”. In the winter
months, she was a member of an all-female snowshoe group. Shortly
after her move to Navan, she founded a local book club, which is still
active to this day. The current members will miss her hosting dinners
and keeping order within the group. She and Michael were members of
the Ottawa Fred Astaire dance group and competed in several Eastern
Ontario
competitions.
In addition to her loving husband, Michael, of
Greater Ottawa, ON; she is deeply missed by her sons, Daniel Craig
(Lianne Young-aiKim) McFetridge, and his children, Olivia and Liam, of
Edmonton, AB; Ricky Lorne (Billie Jo) McFetridge, of Upper Burlington
and their children, Evan, Terrance, Keara and Liam; and grandson,
Noah; and Tony Troy (Sonia Maria Vianna) McFetridge, of Edmonton, AB;
siblings, Carl (Merelys) Williams, of Kentville; Dorothy (Hartley
“Skip”) Huntley, of New Minas; and Darlene (Gerald)
Chase, of Wolfville; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended
family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Clifford
Lorne Williams and Edna May Belle (Sanderson) Willams; and son, Terry
McFetridge.
Cremation has taken place. The funeral service
will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022 in the White Family
Funeral Home, Kentville, followed by a reception. For those unable to
