Sandra Ileen “Sandy” Armstrong
Passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Thursday, November 10, 2022, Sandy Armstrong of Richmond, age 71. Loving mother of Tracy Merkley of Ottawa and Kelly Scheepers (Mike) of Winchester. Dear sister of Elaine Armstrong of Kitchener, Dwaine Armstrong (Carol) of Winchester, Shirley Armstrong of Richmond, Diane Armstrong of Kitchener, Dale Armstrong (Janet) of Winchester and Mike Armstrong (Joan) of Greely. Gran will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Jamie Strynzel (Victoria), Erin Strynzel (Spencer), Taylor Scheepers (Cassandra), Bradley Scheepers (Jennifer), Kennedy Scheepers (Cameron) and her great-grandchildren Scarlett and Madilynn Scheepers. She was predeceased by her parents Sidney and Eileen Armstrong (nee Brown) and her brother Gary Armstrong. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
A Celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Chesterville on Sunday, November 20th from 4-7 p.m. Donations to the Queensway-Carleton Hospital would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
